Driving from Los Angeles/Bakersfield:
Take I-5 north to Highway 99 north. Once in Bakersfield, take 178 east to Lake Isabella. As you approach Lake Isabella, take the second off ramp, which reads "Highway 155-Kernville". Turn left at the stop sign and continue around Lake Isabella (about 10 miles). Upon entering Kernville, continue through town. As you come in to town, you'll see Circle Park, our MRA store, and then Chilly Willies restaurant. Parking is limited, please park your car across the street from our store, or around the park. We'll be waiting for you in the store.

Driving from San Bernadino/San Diego:
From San Bernadino and San Diego take Highway 395 north to 178 west. As you approach Lake isabella from the east, look for the Kernville turn off just past the town of Weldon. Turn right here on Sierra Way and continue around the lake for 13 miles. As you enter Kernville, take the first left, which is Kernville Rd. and continue for approximately 1/2 mile. Look for the MRA store on your right as you cross the bridge over the river. We're next door to Chilly Willies restaurant. Parking is limited, so please park your car across the street from our store, or around the park. We'll be waiting for you in the store.

Driving from San Francisco/Northern California:
From Northern California take Hwy. 99 south to Bakersfield. Once in Bakersfield, take 178 east to Lake Isabella. From MRA's Kernville store, head east approximately 1/4 mile to the stop sign at Kernville Road and Sierra Way. Turn left (north) on to Sierra Way and drive approximately 2.5 miles up river.  You will see our campground on the left side of the road and may enter where you see our MRA Campground sign, next to the welcome bear!
